Our Work
Our Focus
Gender Justice
In the name of protecting women’s sport, international sport governing bodies have committed systematic abuse of women athletes of color, by forcing them to undergo invasive medical examination and harmful medical interventions. Their right to privacy, dignity, bodily autonomy and health have been compromised impacting their lives and livelihoods. We enable these athletes to challenge such policies by exercising their rights and working towards a more equitable, inclusive and safe sporting culture.
Global South
In the last two decades, a disproportionate number of women athletes from the global south have been harmed by sex-testing policies of international sport governing bodies. However, these governing bodies and their medical commissions are mostly consisted of individuals (mostly, men) from Global North countries often with restricted knowledge of the global sporting experience and the cultural contexts of majority of athletes. Building solidarity to promote marginalised viewpoints, and guaranteeing the participation of Global South athletes to inform decision making around global sport can help create more equitable governance.
